As part of its dedicated efforts to evolve governments around the world, the World Government Summit hosts the ‘Shaping Future Governments: Global Universities Challenge’. An integral part of the Annual Gathering, the Challenge brings together over 100 students from renowned universities across the globe and engages them in an innovative competition to improve the way governments work.

The Global Universities Challenge is a unique global initiative that brings together the brightest minds from renowned global institutions to help shape the future of government. In 2018, more than 100 students from 17 leading universities and graduate schools of public policy and business administration took part in the Challenge.

Held during the 3 days of the Summit Annual Gathering, the Challenge convenes tomorrow’s leaders with today’s policymakers to address the future of government, governance and policy making.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, honored the students from the winning institutions Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2017 and London Business School in 2018 with an Award for those who demonstrated novelty, innovation, comprehensiveness and viability.
