Best Minister Award
The Best Minister Award commends the extraordinary work of government ministers at demonstrating excellence in the public sector; along with designing and implementing successful, scalable, and sustainable initiatives for socio-economic advancement of their citizens. It also celebrates efforts to inspire and lead other government leaders and service providers towards promoting innovation and foresight in shaping public discourse on global issues of today and tomorrow.




Nomination & Assessment Process
The nomination and assessment process is a multi-faceted listing process used to nominate individuals with high-impact initiatives, based on both primary and secondary sources. In keeping with the indicators defined under the nomination criteria, these Ministers are then shortlisted following due diligence measures and assessment indicators.
Countries of Focus
‘Countries of Focus’ constitute the countries falling in the top four global macro and socio-economic aggregated indices. They have been shortlisted as follows:
- 1. Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index
- 2. World Governance Indicators
- 3. Human Development Index
- 4. Happiness Index

1. PwC Global Partners
PwC partners in the 'Countries of Focus' nomination of up to three Ministers based on how they match the assessment criteria and first-hand knowledge of their work.

2. Open Source Research
PwC Central Team conducts open source research relying on credible and reliable sources, including multi-lateral forums and organisations, recognised media outlets and official country reports.

3. Social Media Listening and Research
PwC’s Global Intelligence Team conducts social media analysis on trending key words and terms attributed to Ministers from around the world.
Shortlisting & Assessment

1. Integrity and Due diligence screening
All the Ministers will be screened to identify possible integrity issues such as corruption, bribery, adverse information, litigation, criminal allegations, money laundering and bankruptcy.

2. Assessment & Prioritisation
Every screened Minister will then be assessed for their initiatives and contributions as defined in the nomination and assessment criteria. A Dossier for each of the shortlisted Ministers will be presented to a committee for final selection.
