Marc Rotenberg is President of the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC ) in Washington, DC. One of the world's leading experts in data protection and Internet policy, Marc routinely testifies before the US Congress, the European Parliament on emerging privacy and civil liberties issues. A former chair of the .ORG domain, Marc has also worked to promote civil society participation in decisions concerning the future of the Internet for over 25 years. A graduate of Harvard college and Stanford Law School, Marc has also taught privacy law at Georgetown Law since 1990. He is the coauthor (with Anita Allen) of a leading casebook of privacy law, as well as many articles for academic, scientific, and general publications. He has served on expert panels for many organizations, including the ACM, the American Bar Association, the Aspen Institute, the ITU, the National Academies of Science, the OECD, and UNESCO.
