Brief
No man is an island, and nowhere is this more accurate than in the bustling urban metropolises we inhabit. People have been moving to and living in cities since 7500 BC and yet we still feel that moving to the big city is an anxiety-inducing, modern idea. Saskia Sassen is an expert on migration, and in this session she explores just how far we’ve come in terms of urban migration, and what a truly global city would look like.
