H.E. Kristina Persson is the Swedish Minister for Strategic Development and Nordic Cooperation. Her main areas of responsibility include strategic and future issues as well as Nordic cooperation.

She was born in 1945 and lives in Stockholm and Jämtland. She is a member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party. 

In the years 1970-1971, she joined the trainee programme at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. From 2007 until 2014, she led the think tank Global Challenge, which she had founded herself.
During the 90s she was a member of Parliament and then a member of the European Parliament, before becoming a county governor and deputy governor of the Swedish Central Bank.

Persson graduated with a B.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics in 1968.
