With the digital economy growing rapidly, governments must ensure that the digital world is as accessible and, most importantly, as safe and secure as possible. As the number of connected users and devices increases, cities and governments smarten, and assets and currencies digitize, the vulnerability of society to cyber threats has never been higher. Governments need a blueprint for cyber preparedness in a world where cyber pandemics are possible. In this session, David Colombo reflects on cyber vulnerabilities and outlines policy recommendations, drawing on his first-hand experience of hacking Tesla vehicles.
