HE Saeed Mohammad Ahmad Al Tayer is the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority’s Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer since 1991 focusing on driving growth and execution within the Emirate of Dubai. He has an overall experience of more than 27 years, in the field of telecommunications, energy and water.

 Al Tayer has been a leading contributor to DEWA’s ever growing success.  Under his leadership DEWA has seen exponential growth, and succeeded in transforming it into a forward-looking, commercially minded world-class utility with state-of-the-art asset base, superior performance and strong financial profile. He has launched a number of key business initiatives. Saeed has been in the forefront in Emiratization bringing focus to his innovative ideas and vision for building an empowered and independent business unit. He also cares for the environment and preservation of natural resources for future generations, occupational health and safety of the workforce and the public among other professional concerns.

 Al Tayer is also the Vice Chairman of Dubai’s Supreme Council of Energy since 2009

a member of the Government of Dubai’s Executive Council, Dubai’s Economic Council, Chairman of the Dubai Infrastructure & Environment Committee, Chairman of the Emirates District Cooling Company (Empower), Chairman of Dubai Nuclear Committee, Member of the Higher Committee of the Emirates National Grid, Director on Dubal’s Board, Director on Emal’s Board, Chairman of the Dubai Global Energy Forum and Vice Chairman of  the High Committee – (World Energy Forum 2012), Chairman of Emirates Energy Award, Founder and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of WETEX (Water, Energy & Environment Exhibition), among other representations.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Columbus State University / Columbus College, Georgia- USA.
