After graduating from Polytechnique and Telecom Paris, Bruno’s career followed two main business themes: IT and Management.

Bruno Maisonnier then spent three years working in Information Technology followed by 18 years working in bank sector. He successfully managed a chain of teams, and then became CEO of French Bank Credit Agricole in Portugal, Brazil and then Poland. During his last position, he was managing more than 3300 employees and received several awards as the Best Financial Institution of Poland Prize in 2002. All this banking experience enabled him to improve his multicultural management skills, as well as reinforcing his leadership personality.

Passionate by robotics for over 25 years, Bruno closely watched the evolution of High-Tech market, waiting for the right time to launch his own robotics company.

In 2005 he decided to leave the banking world to start an incredible adventure: to design a humanoid robot. And thus Aldebaran was born, a startup with a handful of engineers and PhDs which became a pioneer of this emerging industry. Within 9 years Bruno Maisonnier’s crazy project becomes a strong company with more than 450 employees and offices in Paris, Shanghai, Tokyo and Boston.
