WGS Partners Commend Summit’s Role in Seeking Futuristic Solutions for Complex Global Challenges

Partners of the World Government Summit (WGS) have stressed the importance of realizing the summit’s goals and its mission given its role as the most important platform globally that aims to foresee the future, create new international collaborations between governments and the private sector, and develop innovative solutions to help governments meet common challenges.

To run between February 8 – 10, 2016 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the fourth World Government Summit will convene in Dubai under the motto ‘Shaping Future Governments’. Notably, the event will serve as a platform to answer questions about the future, step up the efficiency of government performance, and prepare for future challenges.

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the World Government Summit 2016, said: "Our vision focuses on the importance of forecasting the future for the wider benefit of humanity. We share this vision with all the partners and supporters of the summit from leading national and international organizations, to private sector companies."

He added: "Making any significant achievement or organizing a global summit of this scale would not have been possible without the support of our partners who have convened in the UAE for the first time.  They contribute to our shared vision, and consolidate the UAE’s leading role as a center of future knowledge on all matters relating to exploring the next generation of governments."


GEMS Education: The summit’s goals align with our efforts to achieve quality future education

Speaking on the importance of the summit, Sunny Varkey, Founder and Chairman of GEMS Education, a featured partner of WGS, said: “The UAE’s national education sector lays a strong foundation for the country’s all-round development strategy, which aims to sustain economic growth by promoting creativity and innovation.
