Theme: The role of Science, Technology, and innovation in achieving SDG’s

Following the adoption of the SDGs in 2015 and as part of the UAE’s commitment to their implementation, the World Government Summit in its fourth edition is introducing a special track focusing on the SDGs and their implementation in Dubai between 12th -14th February 2016.

The “SDGs in Action @WGS” in collaboration with the United Nation, the World Bank and the UN Foundation, brought together stakeholders from around the world to look at the key challenges to the implementation of the goals and to identify potential solutions to those challenges.

The 2017 edition of the SDGs in Action @ WGS, will take place during the WGS2017, and will look at the role of Science, Technology and Innovation in the supporting the implementation of the SDGs. It will bring together scientists, experts, government officials and other key stakeholders to identify STI driven solutions to accelerate the implementation of the goals.

This is an excellent opportunity to complement the United Nation Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum).
