graduated from the Lebanese American University in Beirut in 1999 with a BA in Communication Arts, and a minor in Journalism. Yazigi interned at Reuters and worked for Associated Press, CNBC, and the national Syrian Television before joining AlArabiya in 2003. For almost 8 years at Al Arabiya, Yazigi anchored the main evening news, which had the highest viewing rates among other programs airing at the same timeframe. It was during that time that the Arab audience got to really know Yazigi. With AL Arabiya, Yazigi got the chance to cover live breaking news of major events both on the Arab and international levels, such as the war on Iraq, the Lebanese war, and the uprisings of Egypt, Tunisia and Syria. Yazigi had to leave Al Arabiya due to pressures that arose during the Syrian uprising in 2011. She joined Dubai TV to produce and anchor a political talk show called “The Arab Street”. After that, Yazigi moved to Sky News Arabia where she also produced and hosted a political talk show called “Bisaraha” or “Frankly”. During her long tenure, Yazigi had the chance to interview key decision makers and world leaders such as: Late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat, Egyptian president Abdul Fatah Al-Sisi, Tunisian president Al Munsif Al-Marzouki, Former Tunisian president AlBaji Kaed Al-Sibsi, Kurdish president Masoud Barazani, Lebanese president Rafeek al Hariri, Saudi politician and diplomat Turki Al-Faisal, Egyptian Islamist political activist Khairat Al Shater, former Secretary-General of the Arab League Amer Moussa, former candidate of the presidency of Egypt Ahmed Shafeeq, Iraqi president Fuad Masum, former Secretary-General of the United Nations Boutros Boutros Ghali, Kofi Annan, Ban Ki-Moon, former US Secretary of State James Baker, and former First Lady of the US Laura Bush.
