Ana is the staff chief of the Presidential House of Costa Rica. In 2014 she became the President of the Board of Costa Rican Institute of Drugs and she represents the Ministry of the Presidency on the Board of the Council of Young People. She is in charge of indigenous agenda elaboration with indigenous groups and territories.

She is the official representative of Costa Rica in the Open Government Partnership and she leads the implementation of the Open Government National Strategy. As a Vice Minister in Citizen Dialogue her priority is to build an inclusive dynamic between Costa Rican Government and social groups, vulnerable populations, communal forces and active citizenship.

Before being Vice Minister she was an activist in different social groups such as student movements, human rights and she also participated in environmental organizations.
Graduated in Law, with emphasis in Environmental Law at Universidad de Costa Rica. She is also a student of Social Public Policies Master at Instituto Centroamericano de Administración Pública.
